Whatever your situation, you want to know you’re getting a good stairlift which meets your needs. You don’t necessarily need a high-end stairlift, if another model will do.
With certain staircases, it’s unavoidable to use one of the high-end models, such as a Flow X stairlift in particularly specific circumstances – when another model won’t fit. But we have built our reputation over 20 years on providing excellent customer service and supporting our customers for the long-haul.
That’s why we never recommend a stairlift which would be more than you need – unless you absolutely want one, or absolutely need one.
We also specialise in reconditioned stairlifts so you know we’ve got your back when it comes to saving you money on a stairlift.
Most Affordable Stairlift – Stairlifts For Narrow Stairs
With certain staircase setups, we will need to carry out an assessment in order to determine whether a standard model will fit. With particularly narrow staircases, for example, we often will recommend a specific stairlift which deals better with such a circumstance.
Here’s a fitting on a set of narrow stairs we did recently using a Flow X:
On this particular installation we had to opt for this model because no other stairlifts would fit. There’s a range of stairlifts suitable for narrow stairs with the Flow X being the most agile. But it’s by no means the only answer.
Most Affordable Stairlift – Quality Vs. Price
While certain makes and models of stairlift are much cheaper than others, we think we have found the formula and got it right. Cheaper models of stairlift can cost you much more later, when they start breaking down. So we make a point out of providing only the stairlifts we personally recommend. Those are the stairlifts which last.
Our specialism is in reconditioned stairlifts and for very good reason – they save you money! A stairlift isn’t something you really want – it’s a necessity which helps you maintain independence in your home. A reconditioned stairlift can shave quite a chunk off the price, compared with buying new. But this may lead you to think that the quality is going to suffer.
However, this isn’t true because we only choose the best quality machines for reconditioning. This means you can save money and get a high quality machine which won’t cause you problems. We offer a 2 year warranty on all our reconditioned stairlifts and they are always thoroughly checked and tested.
Our go-to stairlift for reconditioning is Stannah – known for their quality and long lasting machines which give the fewest problems over the longer term.
Why We Don’t Recommend Cheaper Stairlifts?
Certain (cheaper) stairlifts don’t offer the same build quality as Stannah, and even a newer stairlift can cause more problems than a high quality reconditioned stairlift. The stairlifts we hear about, that cause the most problems, are also the ones which would cause us more problems if we sold them!
So while you may consider a cheaper model of stairlift as a saving, it can cost more in repairs later down the road. So we always recommend our reconditioned models because we know they will keep going – often longer and with less problems than cheaper brand new models!
Summary
While certain homes will require a more expensive machine, for example with a very narrow staircase, or one with more obstacles, we will endeavour to keep the price down according to your needs. Our range of reconditioned models include those for narrow stairs (when available) and Stannah models such as the 600 and 260 (for straight and curved stairs respectively).
When it’s absolutely necessary we will recommend a higher-end stairlift, such as the Flow X if you need it. We will offer you a reconditioned model (if in stock) to help keep the price down, unless you require a brand new model.
